OBX headers
Anyone has first hand experience with cheap OBX headers on the 2.7T?
(No need for "don't buy cheap stuff", "guy real expansive ones", etc. Just: first hand experience regarding fit and durability).
Looked at my stock: those are really TINY cross sections in there!

check audizine. huge thread about them. i believe they are replicas of the awe mani's, which are wildly expensive and known to crack. i've wanted to do the obx ones but pulling the engine when they fail is such a bitch. check out vast and maybe do there port and polish on your stock mani's.

Thanks. Will check AZ.
Regarding cracking: Not on the 2.7T (can't comment yet), but on the 1.8T, I have found manifolds cracking on modded engines, not just from poor design (or material or form/filling design during the casting process) but also due to the fact that a lot of the 'big turbo' mods result in
a) MUCH heavier turbo hanging on the manifold
b) the turbo support bracket that Audi put under the K03 is eliminated.
Now the increased dead weight and dynamic load (bumps, shakes, vibrations, etc.) are solely born by the manifold. Certainly increasing the chance of cracks.
