Default passenger seat.

I have a nogaro blue S4 with the blue suede inserts on the seats. as this is a new car (to me) and I am 18 friends of mine have an intrest in sittng in it. so someone got in it and started messing with the passenger seat (reclining it and so forth) well, she got it stuck all the way back. and left without saying anything. I get in the car and my girlfriend couldent move the seat back up and I notice a burning smell. The seat back will not move back up. but the bottom have of the seat and the lumbar support work.
-So I got back to the shop yesterday and began taking the seat out. Now my boss (a lead Audi/Porsche tech. of almost 40 years is looking at it.)

-Has anyone had this proplem? I am assuming the motor is probably burnt out. but did anyone here ever have to go through this?

Sounds like it's "off track". My BMW did this a couple of times. The left & right need to be re-synced so they are inline. The burring smell was the motor straining to move the seat.

Or, the motor just burned out, & in that case, you just put a new one in.
