Hi guys I've been talking to this guy about his 2000 S4 w/ 100K miles as a possible trade and need your opinions on it if you don't mind. I'll be asking him for the dyno sheet, service history, and car fax on it before I do anything crazy. HP #'s seem very high to me since he doesn't say whether the turbos were swapped, what do you think?

looks pretty good, i am also looking for an S4 and you should (if he lets you) try to get a mechanic to check it out or at the least Vag-com it to see if it has any problems or boost leaks. Also make sure he has been properly warming up and cooling down the turbo's because that is key with these cars if you want a long turbo life.

^^++yeah.. id ask for a detailed list of all of the stage 3 components .. 450 hp and all he said was its chipped?? come on.. if im selling my stage 3 by god youll know all thats in it..

 

That was my thought too, something isn't quite right. I wish my friend the audi mechnic hadn't moved out of town, he's done a few stages 3's himself and would have been the one to examine this for me. Pluss it's about 500 miles away so it seems like too much of a hassle for something that probably has issues. Anyone here want to trade for a silver g35 automatic?

I would stay clear of that guy though, when I was looking to purchase an S4 about a year ago, I saw that ad. So... yeah, haha, LONG time ago. Best of luck on car shopping. Hit us back with any other options you may be looking at.
