How many miles do these cars generally last?
Has anyone run into problems installing an OEM nav unit such as (http://www.navparts.com/index.php?ta...oduct_id=29778)?
Do any small modifications void the warranty? (Chip,intake,exhaust)
How far can these cars be lowered without losing any performance due to quattro?

Inmy B5 I have a chip and AWE S-flo no issues with thewarranty.

 

I would also like to know manual versus the tiptronic or whatever it is paddle shifting method. I know the logistic obvious advantages but down the road which has more potential for speed from modifications?

200,000+ miles easily if you maintain it well.
lowering will help obviously with a good susp system. too low and it will affect performance and ride will be unpleasant for what I have read.

 

Im also looking into getting an S4. Could the B5 S4 engine handle a Big turbo upgrade like a GT28rs? Or would i need to put new rods pistons and what not.
