Pulled a major bonehead manuever tonight by pulling up too far over a parking stop. When I backed out it ripped my bumper off to the point where it cracked at one of the seams. It already had a crease in it so I think it's time for a new one. I've seen that a lot of people upgrade to the RS4 bumper. Anyone have pics of what that looks like on an '05 (B7)? Thanks in advance.

 

Okay right after I posted this I found some pics. Looks like the difference is in the area around the foglight in that it has the "grill" look and it's got vents on the side. The shape looks a little different too, in that it's less rounded. Anyone know the cost? Having trouble finding info online other than ebay hits.

 

Sorry one last thing...

Would the RS4 OEM bumper just bolt right on or would I need to modify it?

 

No one else seems to be interested or have an answer, but to future people with this question, the answer is that the RS4 bumper will NOT fit the S4 without modification. The RS4 fenders are wider so you'd need to replace those too, or modify the bumper.

 

Okay this is my last post on this and then I'll stop talking to myself...

If you are interested in putting a different bumper on your B7 S4, there is also this option. It's the special edition S4 (only 250 made) but the bumper is available. Looks pretty cool but I don't like the carbon fiber lip myself. You also lose the foglights. See pics here:
