Default Random Smoke!

Hey There,

Quick question. I have a 2005 s4 avant with 37k miles. The car is rarely driven because of a new company car. Recently after the car had been sitting for almost a month, I took it for a thirty mile round trip. I noticed toward the end of my trip while driving in sixth at roughly 80mph a huge cloud of white smoke behind me. After pulling to the side of the road the smell of oil was present. Since this trip I have started the car each evening in my garage to see if I can identify the problem. The smell of burning oil is still slight and present but have not experienced and significant smoke.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. The car is still under warranty for the next three months and would love to have it fixed before it falls into my hands.

Thanks!

I know someone with an 04 S4 that had problems with the oil leaking from the oil cooler. You should clean the engine bay up real good and then drive it and see where it drips onto to try and pinpoint the location.
