Rebuild engine or sell?

Rebuild engine or sell?
One of my clients bought me a 2000 Audi S4, Yellow, 120,000 miles, with some light front end damage. Car starts fine, just needs a new bumper, headlights, and hood. Got it for $2500. So here is my dilemma: Should I have the engine rebuilt, with brand new parts, which I can get done for $4700 with parts and labor, or buy a performance short block for $5400 with $3000 in labor and additional parts, or just fix it and sell it? How often would I need to take this car in to the shop? I hear that these are high maintenance cars.
I'm deciding between this or a 2005 Subaru WRX clean title for $10k with 60k miles on it. My client is giving me at cost so I want to take advantage of all hes offering. What is your take on this? I hate the way subys look but performance and reliability are top notch.
