Default RS4 Clutch Problems

A month or two ago I got a lot of work done to my car when one of my K03s went out. One of the things I replaced was the clutch. I chose to upgrade to the RS4 clutch but I am having some problems with it. The first being the pedal feel and travel. For about the bottom 2-3 inches of movement the clutch (near fully depressed) is very stiff, for the rest of the travel it feels similair to my old clutch. The larger problem I am having is I don't think the clutch is fully engauging. Recently I have had the clutch slip a few timeson the freeway under WOT. My car is chipped running about 15-17psi. '

Has anyone had similair issues? Was something not done properly when installing my new clutch? Is there any adjustments I can make to change when the clutch starts to engauge?

Thanks

Did you resurface your flywheel when you got your clutch replaced??? Alot of the time the flywheel need's to be resurfaced... Did you break in your clutch??? I heard it can really mess it up if you don't... Don't know how true it is, but everybody tells me I need to break in my clutch...

I think it may be this http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng86.shtml, the SAC mechanism on the in the pressure plate not being set correctly.

Did you break in the clutch? You are suppose to drive it nice for a while to get it bedded in. The FW might be heat scorched, or the SAG adjustment is off.

How long do you have to break it in for? It has probably been about 1500 miles since I got it installed. I am betting at this point it is heat scorched from slipping on the freeway. I think the SAG adjustment is off because of the fact the pedal is hard to depress for the last 1-2 inches of travel.

Brendon,

A rs4 clutch will not hold the power of a high boostingko4 turbo for long. If you are a stage 3 you will need a better clutch.
