S4 (05 B6) Steering Wheel with audio remote controls possible??
Hey all -
this is my first post on the forum, and i'm really excited to be a part of the community. hopefully i didn't miss any threads addressing this topic when i searched...
so, i just "inherited" my brothers red 2005 B6 S4 because he goes to college now and really never needs a car in harvard square or boston. i was stoked to get his car, because it's suchhh a nice car, and it's a step up from my previous Mazda RX-8. Though the RX-8 was definitely a lot of fun, the S4 beats it in almost every aspect except for one:
there are no steering wheel buttons for remote controlling the radio and sound system! this was a major selling point on my RX-8, and i was almost alwaysss using my volume, source, and mute buttons on my steering wheel. though the S4's sleek three-spoke steering wheel looks nice, it lacks this crucial functionality.
is there any way to get steering wheel controls for my car?!? i want them soo badly. maybe the european wheel has them, and i can just order that part to replace my current wheel? or if there aren't any OEM options, could anyone maybe point me to a DIY guide?
someone please help! im deperateee! any comments/tips/advice/links/verbal thrashings/questions/concerns are much appreciated...

I miss them too when I drive my S4 as my A4 has them, but that's life. I don't think you could add this to your car as it would require going to the later B7 wheel and installing all kinds of wiring that just isn't there. I won't say it can't be done, but it would probably cost a couple of thousand bucks. I'd take that money and install a nice APR or Miltek exhaust and then leave the radio off and listen to some real music.

Nah what your looking for isnt yet possible. There are companies wokring on it but nothing yet. Only thing availible would be buy a new aftermarket radio and make sure its from a company that suppies the steering wheel control kit with it. I think like JVC has it or smoehthing. But i dont reccommend it. Stock is enough for me and im a car audio guy.
