S4 Airbag Warning Light When Seat Moved Up or Down!
Hi guys
Bit of an odd one. May be an easy one!! Just need some help...
I have a B7 2005 S4 Avant. The airbag light came on and so I reset it with Vag Com.
Absolutely for for 2 weeks. My partner drove it (moved seat) and it came back on!
So, testing time! I sat in the car, reset it with Vag Com on my laptop. Moved the seat back and forward and it was ok. However, move it up and down and the light comes back on. Reset it, try process again and each time when the seat is moved up/down.
I am assuming then that this is probably some kind of loose connection?????
Is it easy to access to check the connections??
Help please!!!
Many thanks!

You need to ziptie the yellow underseat connector to hold it together. It's opening momentarily and tripping the light. Or check the DIY subforum - I put up a procedure last month on fixing it once and for all.

Hi there
Many thanks for that! Yes, I did see the DIY for the plug and was thinking of taking that road.
I may try putting the seat at full height and back as far as it can go, and then working without removing the seat using a light and mirror.
I'll try this cable tie (zip tie) solution first as that may be able to be done without removning the seat (???)
Many thanks!!

You won't need to remove the seat for either but involving it at the front and tipping it up will make life easier. Click my screen name and from my profile page, go into my photo album. There's a pic of the connector ziptied there. It'll give you an idea what to do. Just don't pinch any of the wires when you zip it.
