Default S4 as daily driver?

Hi guys -- I just test drove a 2000 Stage 2 S4 and it's definitely now in my sights. What an upgrae from my A4! I was just curious how many of you guys use these as your daily drivers. It seems like when doing my research that this is more of a second car to have but if I end up buying it, I will have to use it as my primary. Thanks for your help!

Mine is most certainly my daily driver. Aside from the gar milage not being so great (in and around town) its a great car for everyday driving (and particularly in winter)

mine is my new daily. The Escort is the track car. Its alot cheaper to mod an econo box into a track car, lol.

Mine is my daily driver. It makes a good one, just know you will spend a little more in maintaince. I would keep a spare TBB & DV's in the trunk.

Looks like the one I looked at has Hyperboost DVs and an upgraded TBB, so hopefully I won't blow those too soon. I knew that there had to be some daily drivers out there but I just wanted to make sure. The other problem I have is no garage but that's a different story. My mountain biking excursions tend to take me to the far reaches of the universe, so I'm sure she'll get plenty of dings anyway.

One more quick question...do any of you guys have experience with the OCT chip? I probably wouldn't have picked that one but it's already in there so I don't think I'll get rid of it unless it's bad for some reason.

Oh, don't take it MTB. The interior will get thrashed. You also can't lower it.

Having the upgraded parts already is good, make sure you clean & relube the DV's & still check the TBB on a regular basis.

I can't say anything good or bad on the OCT chip. I do know it's easy to switch ECU's for something else. [:@]

Im lucky, I bought mine and it came pre modded with the GIAC chip, Some type of SS catback, MTM springs and shocks, and the Samco TBB and rip proof clamps.
