Default s4 engine replacement

So looking at putting a new block into my car. I have access to an automatic block from an allroad.

What would be required to make the autoblock work on my 6spd

First off, I'm no Audi specialist, so all I have to offer is general mechanical knowledge from working on several different kinds and styles of cars. Typically, it's not always safe to assume that the same block is used in several different lines of automobiles from any one manufacturer. Certain things need to be checked, first, namely:

1). Year of the doner car.
2). Features/options on doner car.

Sometimes, they're a direct bolt-on, sometimes it'll need an adapter plate that may or may not be readily available. So you'll need to do a fair amount of research to find out if A). Audi even used the same engine/block in the Allroad of that year model, and B). any differences the automatic transmission bell-housing may have had versus the manual.

I'm just guessing, but this is probably why no-one has responded to you, yet, because this is probably not common knowledge. In other words, you'll likely have to plow your own road on this one.

Default new engine

I have a S4 engine that was redone by Audi Jim (an aircraft mechanic). All new hoses, new used exhaust, all new rubber on engine. I have the electronics and the wiring harness. I can let you have the engine and all the parts, in fact the entire car for $1995 plus shipping.

forget the allroad engine, you are putting yourself in for a ton of grief with no sure hope that it will work. Buy the car and get it on the road and have fun driving it.

Swap should be just fine, should have everything you will need on your old motor.

Things I can think of
Plug sai (easy)
Motor mounts?
Intake and pcv stuff depending on model years
Ex manis different? Might just be the downpipes.

Just reread, if just the block your all good.
