S4 oil change
i originally posted this in a regional forum, but later realized it should be here, so...
i need an oil change for my b5 s4. its always used pennzoil synthetic oil. i went to jiffy lube and they wanted $70 for a synthetic oil change. The guy there told me that Monro will probably be cheaper, but they also wanted 70. this is my first experience with an oil change for this car. it is also my first high performance car. my previous car was a honda accord and it was 20, maybe 25 to change tho oil. is $70 the price i should be expecting to pay for an oil change from now on? or am i being ripped off?

$70 is what the Dealer will charge you!
You can do a oil change with basic tools & you don't even need a jack.
Get some 2x4, drive the car up on them so it's about 4in-6in off the ground.
pick up 6qts of oil & a factory filter. A drip pan would be nice to, any auto store has them.
Warm up the car, just drive around for a while.
Pull the drain plug out, ( believe it's a 17mm), let oil drain, then unscrew the filter by hand. If it's way to tight, put a screw driver threw it and turn it will be messy.
Put on new filter, after dabbing oil on the filter o-ring, screw back in, hand tight, and then put a little more on it, replace drain plug, and fill up.
Should take about 30min.
NEVER trust the jiffy lube places, they screw up to many cars, and will not take responsibly for it after.
If you can't do it, find a Audi independent, or VW shop, they are more then capable of doing an oil change.
