Dude maintenance is ridiculous on those. My buddy has one. Timing belt every 30k and its like $2500-$3000. All the parts are twice as expensive and twice as likely to go out as an s4.

Keep the S4 dude. I agree with the maintenance fees. Not worth it unless you have a TON of money to just blow on just keeping it current on maintenance.

Get the new one. V10 twin turbo. Mmmm. May not even be available in the US, though.

Really? pull the motor for O2 sensors?

To my knowledge 2 people in my small rural town (7000 people) ave this car, one white and one grey. I was both today and a black B7 RS4

RS cars FTMFW

Iv heard the factory DRC likes to leak on the C5 RS6's and B7 RS4's, smartest thing is to replace it with some performance coils.

Id love to own one of these, if you can afford it theres no reason not to.

As far as the motor pull for O2 sensors, im not sure if thats an exaggeration but i would believe it. How much room do you think is in there haha

inside here

I believe it.

The cars arent really all that expensive these days, but im sure parts and labor to fix it would be significant.

Good luck on your test drive this weekend!

Default S4 vs RS6

I have owned a 00' s4 Tip/01'S4 6spd and now I own a 03' RS6. all had software, exhaust, suspension and rims. I prefer the RS6 over all of them. The S4 is more agile but doesn't compare in power, comfortability or rarity. It is nice to roll to a car meet and not have the same thing as everyone else, even if it is OEM. have more power than just about every car there depending on the meet. And regardless still get the respect the RS6 deserves. This is the vehicle that Turned Audi around. All the RSs get discontinued just to keep them rare. As far as maintenance, the costs are about the same. For example; if you go with a B7 S4 it has DRC same as the RS6, they both go out and they cost about the same, and chipping a RS6 with APR is about $2K Supercharging a B7 S4 is more like $27K. The exhaust is a bit like $1500 more for Milltek. Thats because they are not selling one to every joe on the road. I have to be honest I would love to still have my S4 but don't want to get rid of my RS6. If only I could afford both. Good luck I hope I gave you some insight.

^ Thanks man this was good info.

The rs6 was tight, great in the straight line and not too bad in the twisty's . Lots of room , just a bigger nicer version of our cars. I guess this means you'll see my car up in the for sale part here in a day or two when I can get some pics of her clean and its not snowing here.

BTW 2000 black stg 2 ++ i'm in central pa.
