Plan on it sucking with summer tires. The ride is barely fine with the all season tires on there. Get winter tires, and you can even just switch hte tires onto your stock rims. That seems like a good deal that you mentioned before if you want to geet whole new rims. If oyu are planning on getting aftermarket rims later (im assuming that you dont yet), just get tires and put them on your stock rims, then get summer tires for your aftermarket rims, that is the route most people go. Forgive me if you already have gone this route and i am just rambling!

Umm yeah you need some snow tires or all seasons. Summer tires or performance tires are just dangerous.

I just got a set of 17" ASA JH3 wheels (Low pressure cast, heat treated, shot-peened) with Avon m550 A/S tires and I really like them so far. I have not driven in the snow with them but I have in the cold and they seem to perform pretty well. The Avon tires are not snow tires but "Ultra high performance all-season" tires which I have had a lot of luck with. The last tires I had on my last car were the Perelli Nero tires and I liked them. In Colorado where I live, most of the time it is dry but you have to be ready for the cold and the snow.
