Default Spare Tire Problem

Hey guys

A week ago i was driving back from a crew practice in the middle of a state park, its pitch black, and i get a flat. Of course theres no service, and it is no scary as hell. hahaha anyways, i get the car jacked up, take the flat off(i have 19's on now, they aren't the stock shoes) put the spare on, and the damn thing wasn't clearing the calipers all the way. I wasn't able to tighten the lugs all the way, therefore rendering the car not drivable. does anyone know why this would happen?

Or maybe someone swapped out the spare rim for a smaller one or aftermarker. I know your gonna be pissed when i tell you this but you shoulda swapped one of the 19 inch rims to the front to clear the brakes and then put the spare on the rear.

A spare definatly shouldnt be a directional tire. Unless you only plan on getting flats on one side.
