hey everyone new to the site, got questions for everyone. i have a 2001 6sd s4 its a stage 3 car done by VAST performance. i was wondering about diverter valves, what exactly do they do? its not a blow-off is it? also, would a front mount intercooler be better for performance or just upgrade to the rs4 intercoolers?

If you have stock or 710's, I would suggest upgrading to something stronger.

I have a Vast Stage 3 and my FMIC works fine, in fact RS4 IC's are somewhat of a rip off. An FMIC is much cheaper and flows better according to a few tests I've seen.

 

Plus they look freaking SWEET!!!!

Does any FMIC retain fog lights and head light washers

 

^ not with the pipping that usually comes with these kits, but I've heard of people being able to retain the fog lights by doing a VERY tight custom setup

 

Yup search over on AZ and there is a thread about it. All The piping was custom made though.
