i think M5 is very sexy dam car i luv it..my family has A6 4.2 and i am not big fan of th eA6 in general.i suggest you to get M5 is way better looking car and it will be faster for sure..because S6 will have Quattro so that means its heavy.good luck on ur choice anyway.

I saw a new M5 a few hours ago. It was blue. Looked and sounded nice. There was a fat wife in the passenger seat and a couple of screaming kids in the back, so it made it hard to be jealous. That car may be all the joy that poor bastard has.

Very cool! Thanks for putting that up. Looks like it is going to be a real beast.

If there was an estimated price in that story though, I missed it.

Ya they didnt say anyhting in there about it, im hoping that its comparably priced to the M5, around 85 grand or so, cuz if its any more it cant really compete with less power and more money

scarzie, thanks for the link. funny about the timing of the article. it's almost as if audi read this post and replied to it.

the car looks NICE. i prefer it to the M5 because i live in CT and need the quattro. let's hope the car isn't too expensive.

I didn't know where Madison is, but now I do, thanks to Yahoo Maps. Looks like you're pretty close to Clinton, where my wife goes outlet shopping occassionally. I actually live in Stamford, but work in Greenwich.

Anyway, I've never bought an S before. Any idea how much this will cost relative to MSRP? Will this trade below MSRP, at MSRP, above MSRP? Will it be so "hot" tha I need to put myself on a waiting list, like the BMW M's? What's the best strategy?

Thanks!

My guess is that only time will tell on these questions. Is there a lot of backed up demand for S6s? It has been a while since there has been one. The car is going to be expensive though. That should cut down on its audience a fair amount. I think putting yourself on a waiting list almost ensures that you will pay MSRP plus whatever the dealer wants to milk you for. Early adopters pay top dollar for everything. You could play a bit of "wait and see" and maybe get a better deal. Pick up one with 3500 miles on it where someone jumped out of it because they decided they made a "mistake" of some kind and then you get a nice discount.

Those ar the kind of things that run thru my head anyway.
