S8 missing and CAT light on

S8 missing and CAT light on
Hi the S8 I am driving has started to miss fire for some reason. Does it randomly at all revs and clears if I stop for a short while and is as sweeet as a nut after. The CAT light comes on I suppose due to the missing and it getting unburnt fuel through to the cats. Anyone any experience of this and what the cause may be?
