Very common, the heater is broken, the heating element needs to be replaced.

Is it really $400? Is that part only or part & install? My back part just went out, & I would like to get it fixed before the winter. I was under the impression it was over $1000 to get fixed.

Last time I checked into it, it was like 190ish an element, 2 per seat(upper and lower)only for parts. I figured while I had my seat completely apart do them both and not risk having to do it again, yeah...just the back of the drivers seat is out in mine too.

Got it. I don't mess with upholstery. It's not my thing. Taking the seat apart doesn't look like fun, just doing the seat bushings was not a fun job.
