Small subwoofer add-on
so i was thinking of adding a small 8" JL microsub to add a little more bass than the stock bose system in my b5 s4 can handle. has anyone done something similar to this with an 8" sub? if so, what kind of subs did you have and what kind of noise do they make? i dont want any teeth rattling going on, just a nice compliment to the treble of the Bose. I also dont want to take up much trunk space and would like to place the enclosure somewhere where it cant be seen. is there anywhere in the car that i could do this? i was thinking under the rear seats or somewhere like that. thanks for any help/advice.
I have a 8' bazooka tube in my trunk it adds a nice little touch of base but I'm going to put in a12' woofer.Things don't rattle with the 8' but I had two 12's and things tend to rattle alot. I would think your going to have to stick a speaker in the trunk under the rear deck (with a encloser).Mabey try a local stereo shop to see what they can do for you.
yeah i've gone the 2 12" route before, i had to rockfords in my previous car and quickly realized it was too much for my liking, luckily for me, they were stolen and insurance wrote me a check.
I didn't find the install I found before I think it was somwhere on www.cardomain.com in an A4 but theres 1400+ cars to search. But I came across this one in the search @ www.Sound-in-motion.com
