Default Speaker Replacements

have a 2000 S4 with the symphony 2 the double din radio, and the front passenger speakers are blown.

What are people replacing these with? I talked to Tweeter and they said you cannot put anything but facotry in there because of the resistance problems with aftermarket speakers.

Anyone?????

You can get aftermarket speakers that are still OEM rated, and I would choose those over stock speakers since the stocks aren't know to be the best quality in regards to durability.

The front ones are 4 inch and you will need custom brackets. I am working on a writeup about how to convert them to 5.25 mounts. It involves some fiberglassing and some cutting but will look stock outside. I just did this in my s4 and the 5.25s are in and fit well.

im not sure if the Audi have a amp in the head unit or not, if they do you should be fine, if not then i think you have to rewire the car but thats just my guess

check out crutchfield.com. they have an "outfit your car" option and they will tell you what fits and give you some recommendations.
