man, that thing sounds insane...

i guess you should be lucky to not have any other problems that are more serious.

i'd be happy that the cluch co. is sending you a new one.

so basically, the turbo's are k04's, and what software were you using again?

my audi mech was servicing a radical last time i was there, he fired it up and sounded like a fekin monster!! and a chick drove it home... haha

ORIGINAL: Mott Power

Hehe, man I'm getting excited just hearing about it. Be sure to post lots of pics!!!
Will do...I haven't taken any more though and won't until late next week...

I too am the same way though, love the Nogaro blue and always wanted a wagon (pretty much want an RS4 as well), but a lack of funding has prevented that dream from happening. Good to know someone else is living it out, properly. That sucks about the road trip though, would have been a blast in the S4. But jesus, the owner and mechanic were scared? Haha! You are going to be a happy customer. Keep us updated though (at least me).

will do...yeah they said the thing was beastly...lotsof other adjectives that probably would be censored...my mechanic is a real perfectionist. This is a new shop and they are just starting up (I know him from his previous gig)...he has taken a lot of time with the car...he knows his stuff and is very conciencious. He is as pissed as I am - or worse about the clutch...

PS: I'm a little confused, I noticed downpipes and cats, but did you mention the rest of the exhaust was stock?
Yeah I have stock exhaust pipes with an Apexi universal (coffee can/ricer type) of muffler welded on at the end. I actually like the muffler and as I had already overun my budjet I had to cut some things (at least for the time being) - AWE intercoolers & exhaust had to go. My mechanic was skeptical at first but said OK lets try it. He says that the exhaust does not at all seem to be restricting anything and is working quite well...so we'll see. I did get the test pipes that we intend to try out in a few months (once I get used to the current level of power)...may do up the exhaust then...or may not...we'll see...

Hey and thanks for the compliments and kind words...hope that one day you can pick up your RS04...maybe an 09 - V8 twin turbo - 650hp or such eh?

Yeah I hear you and agree (clutch problem can always be solved...and wilbe shortly - so no worries really...) - I was worried that I'd have engine issues or some such - considering how eveythng was all apart and I was having some probs prior...we also found that my passanger side wheel bearings were in need of replacing...always something...

I'm using the latest flashed AWE K04 program - one reason for all the poower I think...plu I had the engine compresion tested prior to doing the work and my engine is very tight - worst cylinder is suffering only 3% loss - the others are all 1-2% - everyone is impressed...engine is very strong...I always have claimed I had one of the fasted (non-K04) S4 Avants on the road...I've really been able to take a number of supposedly faster cars...can't wait to see what it will do now!

No not sure at all what your getting at? Are you talking abour brakes? If I track it eventually I'll do stoptechs...but as I already drive pretty fast and the stock brakes work fine (out on the street) - i don't imagine I'll be going much faster now...just getting there a bit quicker - how I see it anyway...so I'll stick with the stockers until I need to replace them (due to normal wear & tear) or until I feel I need to UG....maybe that will be in a few weeks eh?

But I'm not sure i understand your question/concern...am i doing something wrong - in your eyes...please enlighten...
