Hi. I checked the faq's, but apparently my question is too stupid to have come up frequently.

I bought a 2005 audi s4 (b6 platform - without the mammoth front grille), and plan on driving it back to my house in Canada. I was thinking though ... I've never driven a car with a US speedometer. Will the km/hour increments on the speedometer light up in the night, or is that just painted on?

 

wait are u askin if the cluster will light up so u can see ur speed ?

no, that particular model requires that you ride with a candle. Look for the candle holder on the left side of the steering column. JK Sweet purchase by the way, and welcome to AF.

yes, it will light up....but to be sure, throw a towel over the dash and steering wheel, turn on the lights and take a peek.

 

Dang it thats what i forgot was a candle.I fed the rat that keeps the motor going but i forgot the candle to read my guages.

I know but it was still fun to answer like a smartass. Harmless fun and I explained it that way. I like the scented candles by the way as it keeps my costs for airfresheners down.
