I am an A6 owner and have had great fun with it. But I wanna purchase a second hand S4. There are a few in my area. With my budget I'll be looking at 2004-2006 S4. I prefer the Avant version with manual transmission. Anyways, I was wondering what the current S4 owners think about their experiences with their cars. How reliable they've been. How to figure out if a car I'm testing has been abused. What to look for during the testing and inspection of the car.

I test drove an 05 S4 Avant yesterday and it felt very tight and fast. It had about 95000 kilometers on it (about 60k miles), and was loaded with everything but the sat nav and AT.
