thinking of buying a 2002 s4. what should i look out for?
I currently own a 1998 A4 2.8 and i am looking at an 02 s4. for some reason i like the b5 platform. iv been hearing about alot of things about the turbos with the high milage. so i dont want to be replacing a turbo because i wont have that kind of money after buying that car. so what should i look for when buying this car?
Read the sticky at the top of the forum for S4's and
If your buying the car and wont have "that type of money" after to fix it, then i wouldnt even bother. Cause its good to have roughly $1,000-1500 in the bank at all times that can be spent on the car. Just some info from one Poor College student to the next.
However dont get me wrong i owuldnt change anything that i did, haha except maybe have some type of savings hahah

Well of corse ill have an extra 1500 around to fix it if something goes wrong but i would like to prevent that from happening if it is possible. I just wana be the " cool kid on campus with the S4" lol i bet u must get refered to as that all the time. Like i love driving the a4 but i just need a little more speed and the s4 was like exactly what i was looking for.
Yea cool kid on campus.... i guess but i dont look at it that way cause there are plenty of BMW,Merc., S4's, and some other big $$$ cars on campus.
I pretty muhc own a S4 because it was a good deal when i found it and its a very nice sleeper that it draws no attention but people get put in place when it is needed (aka anyhting NA mustang) pretty much haha.
But yea S4 will have quite some more giddy up then your A4 however your insurance will also have a bit more giddy up and so wont your gas.
But to each his own. i bought it and i love it even though ive spent Wayy to much $$$ fixing it and its not even done yet.
