Default To those that helped with Low Power

I recently changed out the short hose that goes to the DV, that was turning to dust.
Boost feels smoother in delivery now, but I thought that it still felt slow.

So I did some runs with the car just to make sure, expecting to see 0-60mph in about 7 seconds. My past best time was 0-60 in 5.7 seconds.

Guess what, I pulled 0-60 in 4.9 seconds on the car I thought was being slow.

So... maybe the car is just fine, and I am simply getting used to the speed. I have had it for about a month now.

Thanks to all, for the help and advice.

Okay so I was thinking the same thing.

I was hoping I was stock and just that quick, but now I am leaning towards chipped.

What is the stock speed limiter on the S4?

Is it 130mph or 142mph? I have read both.

Well Today I took my friend with an A4 in my car for a ride and we easily swept 130mph under the rug but we let off before 140mph. Considering the power it has on tap I figured that was easier than actually looking at the ECU.

But I had only read the 130 mark up until today. So I guess I will try to see if it electronicly limits me to 142.
If not then I am chipped and the question will be with what. Keep in mind I just got the car a bit over a month ago and I bought it from a dealer that really had no clue about it. I had to show him what some of the buttons did. So I am still digging in and running the maintanace etc. to find out what it really has in it.

In looking for the boost leaks I did verify that it has samco hoses for the the top pipes, It doesnt say what kind of TBB it has but it is black with blue sandwich interior. I can put my regular Biturbo covers back on it so I guess it is a different brand other than samco, but it doesnt look stock to me. It also has a yellow stripe on each end.

As for exhaust and intake they both look stock too. I dont see any writing on the exhuast and it is very quiet.

SO I will likely be changing my sig tomorrow. Based on what I can see currently it might read.

Samco hoses
upgraded TBB
Chipped.
Stock no longer
0-60 in 4.9 seconds 1/4 in 13.5

Thanks for the questions.
I will let you know what I find out.

If it looks like this, its a Samco TBB with the top snout cut down abit to fit under the engine covers

Since they don't give out 0-60mph on the drag strip, and all the tracks closed in october, I used my G-Tech Pro.

If nothing else in the years I have had it, it has proved to be extremely accurate compared to the old shotgun passenger with a stop watch technique.
