A thought on the engine covers, heat wise!!!
I was just in the garage the other night and was looking over my s4, seeing where things were and learning as much as i could by looking it over. i had a thought about the silly engine covers. if anything dont they just keep the heat on the engine and make it harder for the heat to dissapate? Do they really server any purpose at all except for looks. they seem to me like they are just extra weight and a heat trapping device. maybe i am wrong. some one chime in.

I would imagine that they are largely there for aesthetics. As anybody else who has one, if you have a SAMCO throttle body boot in your S4, the big "biturbo" cover won't even fit back on if you try. As long as it doesnt irritate you much, dont worry about it. Keep your engine clean and if anyone asks, tell them that "engine covers are for sissies."
