turbo oil question

Default turbo oil question

today while taking apart the frontendto replacetimming belt kit,ic's, stub,hose set, boost controler,bla,bla,bla. i took off the drivers side bipipe and found some oil in the upper part of the pipeand more in the lower part of the pipe i then took off the upper hose to the i/c and had some oil there i also have some in the bottom hose and in the intercooler itself and a slight film in the metal hose that goes to the turbo. the pass side was bone dry. i also have oil in the balck hose that goes into the y-pipe near the fire wall. any idea or help please.

I was told it was normal and to just drain the standing oil every oil change. so I do so. and Im fine. thats on my A6 2.7T though. my S4 just has a little bit of oil in there and is "normal".

mine has it too, I believe its from the PCV system, nothing to worry about.

Yup, it's normal blow by from the PVC system. It will also fill up if you ever over fill the oil.
