The condition of the car on the interior and exterior can give you a rough impression of how the previous owner treated the car. Age is also a big issue along with location.

Well I got my ride from carmax, a week later the clutch goes.... thank god carmax doesnt give a rats *** whats wrong with the car they will fix it if its within the first 30 days.

Another thing I would recommend is pull the spare tire out, see if there is any debris down there. I found a reciept and tag to a golf bag in mine....last owner was a golfer I guess.....a really pissed of, really bad at golf golfer who likes to rape clutches.

All im sayin is if you bought a maunal s4 brand new you shouldnt have to worry about problems becuase youd be the one putting the miles on it and surely should know how to drive a manual, however being used u cant really tell how the prior owner drove it, and if the transmission were to have any problems and the clutch looks heated its not gonna be covered under audi warranty.. i really wish it werent that way, and its easy to say to me or anyone else that it should be covered but when it comes down to the actual situation u may be out quite a bit of cash, and thats just my .02

I can't believe the difference in price for the MT vs. the AT.

The manuals with roughly the same mileage and options is like 5k more.
