well i was at work today and had some of my spending money left over so i used it on some reliabilty mods.

i bought a samco tbb from awe and i ordered 2 710n's from ecstuning. i got the tbb for 67 plus shipping and i did some internet shopping on the diverter valves and found ecstuning had a pretty good deal on them.

i figured these would be good things to replace on the car when i get my chip with my tax return money. Now all i have left to do is decide what chip to buy, i have narrowed it down to giac or apr.

one question that i need answered that would help with this is? Does the giac have the switch on and off to other programs like the apr does.(the cruise control thing i believe is how it is done.) I ask this because i purchased a warranty from volvo when i bought my s4 and i plan on gettting some stuff covered under the warranty when i get all the paper work in.

namely the info cluster. some of the lines and pixels are messed up and i have read on audizine that the part is expensive and i read my warranty and it is covered so i am gonna get it replaced before the warranty runs out in 3 years or 36k miles.

any thoughts comments? jeremy you seem to be a giac supporter i bet you can clarify some of this for me. also there is a local guy here in austin texas that works at a lotus dealership that does apr installs. i do not know if he does giac but i am going to call and see what his deal is.

 

well i found out from a buddy with a giac that they dont do the cruise control thing.

 

They dont do cruise control, but they have a flashloader that you just plug into the port below your dash, and then press the button for waht program you want to flah it to. Faster than APR, adn i think that hte flashloader would be much easier to use than the cruise control.

 

yeah but how much does all that stuff run price wise. all i would want would be a 93 octane tune and a stock tune. I would only use the stock tune when i would be taking it in for warranty work.
