Yeah 4.5 to 5k is what I would offer. Then again I would be yanking the engine and drivetrain and more than likely parting the rest out, not driving it.
Still if you are going to put some money into it and enjoying it rather than trying to sell it later I would say go for it as long as the repairs were done right.
Ive got a Noggy with over 200k on the clock and an Imola with almost 170k. They both run like tops. But then I had all the maintenance done to the Noggy within a month of purchasing it (just for my own peace of mind) and had records of the Imola having it done a couple months prior to my purchasing it. My point is high miles can be bad but if taken care of properly (and its really hard to tell if it was or not) these cars will last forever.
Actually dont know why the hell I wrote all that lol

thanks for all of the replies guys, i am in school right now for collision repair so i have somewhat of an idea to look for, it's still for sale obviously because of the title, i really want to go look at it. ill bring a couple of buddies from my class to get a few semi trained eyes on it... take it for a drive, get a buyers inspection done maybe, i would definitely try to drive it till the wheels fell off because yeah, selling it would be a bitch
it's over an hour from where i live so i haven't looked at it yet :P
we'll see, i agree, it would have taken quite a bit of damage to deem it salvage
