Default What's it worth s8

I have a guy that offered me a 2001 s8 that he recently did the Timing belt, water pump, tranny service and put new wheels and tires on. I dont know the miles yet but I am assuming it has 100k on it. He said he was going to put it up for 17,500 but he would sell it to me for $12,000 cash. What do you guys think

KBB with 100k is only 8k or so, KBB with 200k is about 6k. Theres a chance it only has 20k but im assuming since timing belt was done its either at 100 or 200k

However, there are 0 on craigslist and 0 on ebay. Making the car hard to come by.

You S guys would know best. Is it a GREAT deal at 12k?

thanks guys.

mileage is a huge factor. $12k sounds ok maybe a little lower. my buddy has one of these and he is at 102k on the odometer. his only problem is when he presses the pedal down all the way and it clicks the car doesnt go into s mode. its been a real good car otherwise.

Good news, it only has 93k. He is claiming it is some track edition and not they typical luxuary edition and has "$6000 recaro heated seats" I tried to google some sort of track edition or special edition s8 but came up with nothing. If he goes 10k I might buy it but resale might suck.

its pretty much at excellent KBB for $12k. answered my own question. just needed some reassurance
