When the first time is your S4's turbo goes off?
2001 with 104,000 and mine whistle and its getting worse so my guess within the next 5-10000 i will be going ko4s
..but they still run strong as hell so i dont really know..need to have the shafts looked at to see if there is any play..but i hope they do blow so i can actually break down and buy the k04's .cause right now i dont see myself spending that kind of money when i dont have to..so when i have to i will..
lets hear everyone elses..this is going to be a good thread[sm=goodidea.gif]

I own mine w stock K03's since 05, it has 178000Km or 111000 miles. I'm changing oil every 10000 km with great quality oil (Motul full synth or Liqui Moly Synth 5W50). Car was chipped with GIAC X when i bought it 3 years ago at 85000Km. I dont know when the car was chipped ?Car is pushing strong and no weird noises yet. It boost at 18 and settle at 16psi. I think the key for long lasting turbo is waiting for oil to warm before getting on the boost & letting oil cool down after inspired driving sessions. Or meaby i'm lucky
