Where are you getting it from? I'd be interested, too.

First gear in my tippy is great.
Of course I'm "sans-awd burnouts"
I didn't realize the s4 01e had a useless 1st though.
I know AWD Launches are great from my old Talon TSI but
I kinda like my slushbox even with the stage 3.
I think slower launches and burnt torque converters are an even
trade for syncro probs and clutch slippage.
Flame the TIP all you like, I'm used to it!

Were you asking me?

The 01A I am using comes from a Coupe (B3 IIRC).

RED_01 - 1st gear isn't useless for launching. It has to be some what short, if it was tall the wheel speed would be too high causing too much wheel spin and this would make getting a great launch much harder since the window would be much smaller. This is why launching in 2nd gear end up spinning the tires like crazy or just ends up bogging.

yeah 1st is good for launches, plus i have the stasis tranny with hardened synchros so my 1-2 goes easily.
