Tried doing a couple of internet searches but I was unable to find any information.

I have a 2001 S4 and I recently just blew one of the turbos. The car has 130k on it, I bought it with 80k. My mechanic is estimating around 5k to replace the turbo which is probably about what the car is worth. So I am going to sell it with the busted turbo.

What do you think I should try selling the car for? The car is automatic and has no other engine problems besides the blown turbo. No accidents on it, only minor scratches.

Any input I would appreciate. Thanks!

 

if its not a wagon, i'd say under $5k. unless you have some rare color/options combo like nogaro/nogaro, w/sport package and no sunroof.

you might wanna checkout buying a set of used K03 turbos to reduce repair cost. Audis4parts.com should have a cheap pair on hand. They part out B5 S4s'.
