Default S4 (B8) Cooling Fan Problem

Hi Guys, hoping someone could shed some light on a problem I'm having?? I have a 2010 S4 which has started giving me a problem recently. Within 10 minutes of driving my cooling fan comes on and stays on, then maybe 10 minutes later it goes into like a 2nd stage and gets much louder and faster. If I'm driving for 40 minutes then the fan is basically running for 30 minutes of that. It's really loud and embarrassing when in heavy traffic. Coolant levels are fine and the gauge stayed at 90 the whole time. When I switch off the car the fan slows down and then shuts off. Then today it did the same thing but when I got out of bumper to bumper traffic and accelerated the temperature rose to about 100 and as I slowed down it dropped back to 90. I don't know if the ambient temperature is causing it to rise while I drive but I'm nervous to drive it. I tried to book it with Audi locally but they are fully booked until next week. What could the problem be?? Please help!
