I stumbled upon a 2004 audi s4 at a dealership that overall is very clean 100k on the odometer 6 speed...however they let someone go out for an unsupervised test drive and it threw a timing chain (or so I'm told) so assume it needs an engine. They want 4k which is way to high...I'm thinking 2k maybe since an engine will run 3-4k + install costs and anything else that comes up. I've done lots of major work on 1.8ts and a4s but not on 4.2s. For 2k is it worth saving???
