2006 Audi A8L 89,000 miles

There are 2 beeps (chirps) every 5 seconds coming from the MMI/Driver Right Vent area. When I cover the Driver's right vent the sound is a bit muted so I'm assuming whatever speaker/sound source is in there.

I have no warning lights associated with the sound.

The car starts and shuts down flawlessly.

The sound is there with the car running or just with the electronics on but it does not stop the whole time the car is on.

The parking assist works great forwards and backwards. (No faults)

And the only fault from my VAG COM is unrelated (O2 sensor bank 1).

I have searched the internet using various combinations of words but I can't find anyone who has posted this particular problem.

If you know what this is and where and what to correct using the VAG COM I would greatly appreciate it.

 

It's been a while so not sure if this is it but my TT was beeping and it turns out the oil was low. I can't remember if it was 1 or 2 beeps. I'd check all your fluid levels.

I ran across your post because I'm getting a single beep about every 20 to 25 seconds and looking for an answer.

 

Thanks for the oil suggestion however that was not the fix. I had my oil changed after you suggested that but to no avail.

I've been searching for months now still no answer. And now there is an additional single beep added coming from the list side of the dashboard. Started this morning when I started the car. So now there are three beeps.

Still no fault codes that I can relate to it. Park assist works flawlessly.

 

Yes , I bought same car this year and having same problems as you told us. But it beeps continuously 1 min in my case and there may be a problem in sensor. Well, whenever you got solution to this problem please share here may be it will help others too.
