07 SRT8 vs 01 2.7T
IN staten Island theres one and somewhere up in Sussex orWarren NJ theres one,we got chased by it last year. Hardest car i ever had a problem with was a LS1 on a straight empty pennslytuckey highway on my 80RWHP 600cc sport tourer. I got a funny story involving an audi who wanted to "race" me on my bike and got arrested but i'll post it when the statute of limitations is up in a bit.

A bike can outrun a crown vic and an impala too, so whats your point? If you can't outrun a cop car on a back then something is wrong.

First off, it is indeed idiotic to run from the cops. One of my friendsdid it, in his '69 Ford Country Squire with a monster 460 set up for the top end (7000 RPM redline, and based on the gearing he was going over 150 MPH in that chase), and even though he got out of sight of the cop chasing him in a Caprice, he ended up wrecking getting off the freeway and getting his *** owned in court. And second, the copsare running regular RT's with crappy tires, not the lower, stiffer suspension with 20" performance tires of the SRT's. Either way, a bike should still hand a SRT it's butt in a chase like that, but Motorola has been known to outrun any vehicle on the road.

This post was about a 2.7t vs. a srt8.
Stock for Stock = embarassing loss for your 2.7t
You would still have to MOD considerably to beat the Dodge.
Not considering the Dodge is modded. These discussions always get sidetracked with Modding. You can spend a ton of dough and make your car anything you want it to be, but the original question was based around stock for stock. How did bikes get in the mix? Who cares about bikes?
srt8's are plenty powerful for what they are, so are 2.7t's. Comparing the two is like mixing oil and water. Completely different cars.

I've never heard of Highway Patrol or Police to have SRT8's, just the RT's. And there's a HUGE difference. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they don't have SRT8 models.
And besides, I would sure as hell hope a motorcycle could dust one in the twisties. If not, the rider doesn't deserve a motorcycle......

Me and Jeff saw a one at a gas station one time.. they are typically in areas where cities are growing and new cop cars are being bought. Its typically the "Sherrif" that drives the SRT-8
Trust me i keep my friends close and my enemies closer. I know the diffrence between and SRT8 and an R/T.Even worse then an SRT-8 is the LS-1 i got chased by in pennsyltuckey. 5 of us hop on 76 outside of philly, bend the plates up and are cruising in the left lane at like 110 with very, very little traffic and its all doin 85 or so and its 3am or so.This Camaro starts tail gating the **** outta the bike in the tail and then accelerated rather rapidly in the middle lane around us and cut over hard into the left lane almost clippin the chick riding up front and slammed on the brakes. We all kicked down into 2nd and 3rd gear and took off, then the lights went on and the race began.
ONly problem is my 600 is an 80ish RWHP 500lb sport tourer and from a 110 mph roll isn't the fastest. I pulled decent on him and the other bikes were outta sight to 140 or so and then my bike starts really creepin now in 6th towards its 154mph top speed as this Ls1 starts gettin closer in the rear view. Luckily there was some traffic up ahead and i hit it and lost him fast. An adrenaline pumpin 45 or so seconds.lol You'd be surprised what cars they have now. In north Jersey theres a Mustang GT they use to try and race people to pull over.
