Past 100... Quarter mile matters.. that doesn't in my opinion.. we just can't stand 350 talk in all the street race threads.. but whatever it doesn't matter.

 

yeah your 350 is pretty cool and all but what are you gonna do? a 100mph roll? like what the hell and who the hell cares if a car beats someone over 100mph... well i dont care

 

Until our local track opens up, the best place we can race is on the highway going out of town. And it's pretty hard to go from a dig on a 60mph limit road. We usually go from a 20-35 roll depending on the cars and the drivers. And the simple fact of the matter is, from a roll, even a 20 roll, I'll walk Evo's (stock) all day long. I have a friend w/ an '04 w/ Megan Racing downpipe/exhaust, tune, upped boost (20psi vs 15 stock) and from a 30 roll he only beat me by a little over a car. That was 120ish. And I was starting to reel him back in. Everbody races differently. I personally think (along w/ most people in my group) that 1/8 mile racing is weak. We rarely end a race before the 100 mark, so I care. Evo's and STi's when stock aren't hard to beat top end, because they're aerodynamics kills them past 100. I was joking when I said that ****, but I'm getting tired of people jumping me for bullsh!t. I didn't say I'd beat him, or that his car was slow, I just said that I'd race him. That's all. I didn't brag about my car or anything, I just said I'd race him. I didn't realize that was a crime. If I say something about my car in "every post" like you say, which I don't mean to if I do, don't read my posts. Simple as that. I'm pretty sure there is this thing called freedom of speech. Usually if I mention my car in a post, it's in an attempt to offer as comparison to benefit someone else. That's it, not to brag or boast. So if I offend you by talking about my car, I don't mean to. Can't say I quite get that analogy... unless there's a higher-powered Z that I'm unaware of.

IME, however, I've yet to see a Nissan Z suprise me with its speed. They seem to be quick cars, but I've yet to see many that could hang with mildly tuned, or even stock Evos.

It is really nice as long as you don't trap over 130 by much there is enough shut down as there is a gentle curve at the end. But if you do have that fast of a car you better have good brakes too.

 

That analogy was totally retarded. There is no higher level of 350Z. They all have roughly the same performance numbers. And I really don't care who you'd put your money on. I f the race isn't from a dig, or even if it is and it goes much past 100, a stock 350Z will pull a stock Evo (and STi). The End. Put your money on the Evo, you'll lose it. Evo's are f#ckin awesome cars, and if I didn't have A4, I might've bought one over my car. Evo's are not, however, invincible. They're AWD, fairly light, and have low gears, so yeah, of course they are going to be quick. Espec from a dig. But they have crappy aerodynamics, low gears, and they're AWD actually hurts them from a roll or racing on the highway. Are Evo's badass?? Yeah, they are. W/ just a few grand in mods they can run 11's. Are 350Z's heavy, slow pieces of ****?? No, they are not. And if you think they are, you're stupid. Simple as that. I never said my car is better than an Evo, but I don't think you guys give them the respect they deserve. And I think your expectations on Evos' performance are a little far-fetched.

 

Z's are cool cars, for being cars... but bragging about a stock one is where I draw the line. Are you up in some wierd area where Turbos cant get air? Cause that would explain why you win againt stock Evos or STi's.. and yeah... Roll racing is for ****.. where do you live where you can't find a empty street at night? Or even an empty highway at that.. I just don't get it.[&:]

 

WOW, that post almost made sense........ EXCEPT....... High altitudes hurts normally aspirated cars more than it does cars w/ forced induction. So there goes that one. Next up, I don't just race from a roll douche bag. I don't care, I'll race from a dig, too. Racing from a dig, provided the cars are fairly equal, pretty much shows who is the better driver due to fact that you have reaction time, and launching technique. Racing from a roll, however, where the difference in skill level between the drivers is less important,shows which CAR is really faster, due to the emphasis on powerband, engine output, gearing, etc. SO....... before you start talking a bunch of ****, AGAIN, do some research, biatch......
