Default brake pads

I need to get new brake pads; the dealership has suggested a particular price, much higher than the price advertised by dedicated brake shops. Is there a difference in product that I will be getting from either? What is the best alternative?

Dealer - ~550
Brake Shop 1 ~100
Online, OEM replacement kit - ~300

What to do?

I got Hawk ceramic street performance pads at ECS Tuning for $94 for the fronts and love them. Install is VERY easy - absolutely no need to have it done somewhere. Check audidiy.com for a step-by-step procedure on how to do it.
