Default camber and alignment

i jsut recently purchased a b5 S4 and bought new tires and took it to get aligned and found out that the previous owner must have run off the road or hit something significant that through off th ecamber on the right driver wheel. The alignment shop had to shift the sub frame the whole way to get it to be pretty much even with the left. The car drives and wears tires evenly now but i am worried about lowering it because i dont want to end up with major camber issues because i do not want to buy the overly priced camber correction kit for this car. I have read that because the way the suspension is designed in this car, lowerig it doesnt effect the camber as much as other cars. how true is this? If i were to lower the car 1.5 to 2 inches, should i be expecting major camber issues? thanks for anyhelp

Default RE: camber and alignment

Hey, sorry to hear that no one has responded to your postings. I have a 97 2.8L A4 and when I put my Vogtland sport springs on it, I went to go get an alignment done and the rear wheels had a slight amount of Toe Out and could not be fixed better than that. I forgot what the exact specs were after they had it done. I have the paper with the specs but I am currently in another country right now.
Unfortunately for me my suspension on my rear was lower than on my front, Front was lowered almost an inch, while the back was lowered 1 3/4 from stock. Which would probably explain why therear wheels had more changes in geometry than the front. Im notsure if the S4's rear suspension settings are the same as mine. Just giving you a heads up.
