lowering the a4... got questions
I have a 2002 audi a4 1.8t quattro 4wd.... i wanna lower it. So im either going to lower it with Tien S.tech Lowering springs.... or coilovers. I was looking at Racelands and they only have coilover kits for 2wd a4's. Do they sell the 4wd kits or no? what coilover kit would u reccomend thats under 1000 bucks.
also.. im doing wheel spacers as well since im ordering new wheels. Are the wheel spacers specific too? can they go on either a 2wd or 4wd or does it have to be a 2wd on 2wd, and 4wd on 4wd?
btw whats the difference between Avant and Quattro? im an american car enthusiest, im just starting to learn about German. Sorry.

If you go with springs only, make sure you pick up springs which are 4WD (Quattro) specific. The weight difference between the 2wd and 4wd is enough that your car will sit uneven if you put 2wd springs on.
Have not had any good results with Raceland coilovers. People have been unhappy with fitment and rid quality. Consider some KONI, Vogtland, or H&R coilovers.. Great products you'll be happy with if you're going with coilovers.
Wheel spacers are not drivetrain specific. Just pick up some H&R spacers like from Purems, and they'll set you up with what you need
Avant = Wagon
Quattro = 4wd
Frontrak = 2wd

D2 Racing makes coilovers for your car. Here are some pics. Available from carshopusa.com.
