On my 2006 A4 B7 Quattro 6MT, there are rubber boots that appear to be at the bottom of the control arm. I don't quite know how to describe it, but the rubber boots are shot. I have pictures here:

What is the part and what can I do to repair this? Is there a part number, and source for the part?

They're the ball joint boots. You need to replace the control arms - the boots are not independently replaceable. Genuine & OEM European Car Parts | BMW Volvo Audi VW Mercedes Saab | FCP Euro is a good source.
