Default Noise in Left Front

Hi All,
I have a 2004 A6 2.7 with very high mileage. I'm getting a clunking noise from
drivers side front when going over bumps. Bouncing the front of the car only creates the noise when the wheels are straight. Is this tie rod end? Any help would be appreciated. Trying to determine if this is something I can do myself. Have not taken a close look under the car as yet.

Thanks

@ Silver27S-Line:

That's not your tie rod end buddy, they usually don't make noises even when they are damaged. I would check your sway bar bushings and sway bar connecting rods.

If they seem fine, check the bearings on the top of your coil springs.

Let me know if this was helpful.
