Default Will 1.8T springs fit a 2.8?

Hi, my 2.8Q B5 rear springs look bad. I found someone who's selling the springs from his 1.8T B5. Both are quattros. So I'm wondering whether these would fit my car. Any thoughts? TIA!

I think you would be fine in the rear. The fronts are the ones that would be different. See if you can find someone selling there old S4 springs, they would work with your car being a V6. It will drop your car too.

They do fit perfectly, but they really won't drop your car (I have them on my car - S4 struts, springs, and rear swaybar). The drop is probably a finger-width at most. However, the ride and handling improve very nicely. The S4 is a great budget upgrade to your stock A4 suspension, and you will both feel and love the difference.

Take a read through this - it's a writeup I did a short time ago to try and help others decide if it's what they want or not:
