hi yellow symbol came on VAGCOM tells me

3 Faults Found:
16814 - Catalyst System: Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0430 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
16804 - Catalyst System: Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0420 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
16414 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Heating Circuit: Malfunction (Open Circuit?)
P0030 - 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent

Is this simply telling me I need new Lambda sensor or something more serious

Both o2's are throwing a code. You either have a large exhaust leak at either the head to manifold, manifold to turbo, turbo to downpipe, or a hole in the downpipe like the flex section. If you dont hear a leak, wait till the car is cold, start it and feel for puffs of air with your hands. If you still dont find anything, then your are just unlucky and had both o2's go at the same time

I was unlucky both went at the same time and they are very fiddley to fit you need arms with more than two wrists
(no turbo on uk 3.2L V6)
