I have a 2014 A6 3.0 Prestige. Loving this car. An absolute beast on the road and fun to drive.


I'm trying to enable Video-In-Motion and like a lot of people, I'm trying to get the right knock-off VAG COM cable for my vehicle and side-step dishing out $300 for the Ross-Tech standard one. Not that I don't have the money to buy it but to me it's overpriced and I'd get more gratification from doing it the hard way any way.


With that being said, has anybody succeeded in finding the right cable to communicate with the control modules needed to do what I'm doing...enable VIM?


1) Is this K+CAN VAG COM cable the right one for my the a 2014 A6?

From what I've read it should be. I think most people who fail with the knock offs, get the KKL VAG COM which only supports older vehicles(2009 I think?).


Anybody who has experienced and succeeded with a knock off cable. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

 

Hey have you got the video to play through the MMI? I have a 2014 a6 premium plus and trying to get video to play. Not sure of the format, etc.
