What is the most recent vagcom software release? I have 4.09 and it works great, but the website says that the vcds lite is the most recent but I haven't been able to get it to connect to my interface :s

 

Huffy -- goto the Rosstech web site and see what they say about each version. I believe that 311 is for generic Serial cables and 309 is for generic USB cables. Other versions require actual RossTech cables which costs significantly more that the cheepies we are talking about.

 

alright, I am going to ride the OP coat tails and ask which one I need for '06 A4 (B7) same one as in the link?

I never did this before, so I don't know, are their diiferences in the connection at the OBD2 port depending on year model???

for that cheap I'm gung ho and will probably pay Ross Tech the 99$ for full version program
